Pakava It’ releases a new album. It includes compositions written since 2000 till 2008.

The title of the disk was suggested to Pakava by a newspaper of a small German city of Reutlingen that gave such a definition to the style of our music and the manner of its performance. Since that time the concept of the disk that comprises tracks written in different countries and dedicated to different stories and people (some of them took part in the record of the album) was being developed. We love to travel and do it rather often – that’s why we were working at the album for a long time. Material for it was gathered piece by piece in every place we visited...

At the beginning of December 2008 the Citadel records label releases DVD version of the new concert program by Goatika International Creative Laboratory. Goatika Artsound interactive project is based on live performance, given by Goatika at 100 Ruchiev Club in Voronej this summer...

Citadel records releases the first album by a young musician from Israel Ophir Kutiel (pen-name, as well as the name of the release is Kutiman). Kutiman started working at the album after moving to Tel-Aviv from Zichron, a small village in the north of the country. Specific style, elaborated by Kutiel, combines elements of funk, hip-hop, afro-beat, psychedelic rock and even folk, but does not coincide with any of these styles.

In June of 2008 Citadel records label issues the first album by a young Japanese group Chimidoro that is named “Minna No Uta” (“Everybody's song”). The constant members of the project Nao Suzuki (drums), Kentaro Miyama and Hiroaki Kusumoto (vocal) are close friends for many years already. At school, taking example by the heroes of a popular Japanese TV show, they created a group of bicyclists Chimidoro that means “bloody” in Japanese. Curiously enough this group laid foundation to the musical project. Nao Suzuki, who was seriously engaged in music earlier than his friends, became the initiator of Chimidoro band creation...

According to the members of DSM Formation, the conception of the album “Jekyll/Hide” was invented by the leader of the project Dmitri Mesheryakov, who left for Canada 7 years ago. Via Internet he sent sketches reflecting the mood of each composition to his Russian colleagues and they combined these sketches with DSM Formation new sound in order to achieve an extraordinary musical palette for each track...

On the 20th of July a multicolour version of a famous debut album of Moscow Grooves Institute “Surround Wednesday” has come out. It was recorded in 1997. In 2004 – 2005 the album was partly rearranged by sound producer Sofia Kruglikova and redesigned by Denis Barkovsky...

“Salt and Water” is a new step in fine-tuning the most gentle kind of “ambient jazz” by composer and performer Pavel Tukki, who in his new solo project reveals himself also through his performance as a fine poet and vocalist. Tukki, creator of “Nega,” which is being simultaneously re-released, continues to broaden the borders of minimalism, cool jazz and acoustic ambient in search of his own language to convey the subtle nuances of mood and his lyrical attitude to the world.

Musician works with electronic from 1993 and have five unreleased albums. THE:NET has a creative union with lots of interesting projects, the first one was Esclavos Del Futuro (drummer of Malchishnik and Alien Pa. Holman- Maxim Fofan, Valery Vasukov (samplers and keyboard, Roman Marinitch (guitar) and Olga Tolstoukhova (vocal on spanish)) and the last one was joint works with legendary Moscow band Alien Pat. Holman. Ptutch magasine called this project as russian Underworld...

Following the release of “Salt and Water” by composer and multi-instrumentalist Pavel Tukki, Citadel Records re-releases his debut album “Nega” (2003). This solo project is the result of the author’s “search for silence.” It’s a manifestation in sound of a “state for solitary surfing,” which combines elements of impressionistic minimalism, acoustic ambient music and cool jazz...

The long-expected release of Citadel Records is the fifth album of Moscow Grooves Institute. This is their first disk since 2002. In all Boris Nazarov and Arkady Marto wrote 17 tracks but the album consist only 15 and another residuary tracks will be published on Citadel compilations and west-version of the album.

The release of the album in Russia and Europe is planned on the end of March. Taking into account the wishes of the west partners expressed after MIDEM 2006 where the demo-material was performed for the first time MGI decided to distinguish Russian and European releases. That’s why disks will be published with small differences in track-lists.

The new sounding of MGI is harder now because Groove Institute used live instruments to show riches and variety of a new sound. But one of the main features of the fifth disk is that on the last stage of the album’s preparing Arkady Marto improvised with rhodes-piano and it was imposed on the finished sound...

The name of a disc – Lilaya it's a derivative from the sanscrit language word , which means a total deep sleep. Compilation Lunateka

A new project from the Moscow-based Second Hand Band, virtuosos of trip hop, lounge and ambient, is their compilation Lunateka (Citadel Records). Produced by the band, it features works by its members, including their solo and side projects, and by other artists with similar vision. Each of the four SHB musicians has had their own projects since the band’s inception, making them equal creative players, and comprising with other kindred spirits a community of 12 artists presented on Lunateka...

We always make samplers with our artist’s tracks before musical exhibitions and give them to our partners and public because such compilations give an idea of label’s product and to know about most successful projects...

Now Chris Joss' You've Been Spiked is re-released by ESL Music as an enhanced-multimedia disc that includes two bonus tracks selected from The Man With The Suitcase and the video for the raucous keyboard infected breakbeat swinger "Discotheque Dancing."

The prevalent motif is funk, seasoned with unequal proportions of acid-jazz, trip-hop, break-beat, house and jungle. For lovers of the exotic, there are live guitar, an elegance of French chic, eastern horn, acoustic bass that sounds very much like a double bass. Originally different sounds harmonize each other filling an atmosphere with energy and calmness.

By tradition Citadel Records produces coffee-disk jointly café network Coffeemania. The title of this compilation - Latte-art - means “art of drawing by milk and coffee”. Chriss Joss, Second Hand Band, Moscow Grooves Institute set the pace of this compilation and among them tracks from Pavel Tukki, Dmitri Pronin, I:CUBE, That Black and Ozone Cocktail. As a result we have electro-jazz-lounge compilation in pastel shades for all lovers of coffee and pleasant music.

It’s a new ambient album that Vlad wrote in the state of meditation. Five tracks of the new album are full of harmony and calmness. The quite and peaceful music gives you the feeling that can only be described as ‘gravity-free state’. “Ocean” is an invitation to immerse in the ocean of music and still.

Beginning of the 90ies was the period of the breakthrough of many electronic projects. Ambient was coming. Music was gradually penetrating in the chill-outs of first Russian techno-clubs. Koma and Misha Bliznets have been playing it since 1993 in the famous St. Petersburg club “Tunnel”. At the same time Arkady Marto was composing music in Moscow.

In October 2004 Citadel Records has released new album of the joint project of Olga Rojdestvenskaya (aka Noel) & Moscow Grooves Institute “Na Zare”. It is a first long-play of the trend project, well known with their first hits in neo-romantic style. It contains electro-versions of traditional songs and romances, themes from Russian and foreign classics and original tracks of the project.

Pavel Tukki’s creative development began in 1995 when inspired by the music of D.Sylviana, B.Eno, Talk Talk he got involved in acoustic ambient. Further among his priorities were mainly jazz, even ambient jazz. Searching for the calm, “the state for the single immersion” he made the first album “Nega”. “Nega” consists of the elements of minimalism, atmospheric and cool jazz. The disc received good appraisal of the critics from leading music and entertainment magazines:

ULA, the first singing robot-girl in the world, created by the music experimentalist Vlad Kreimer, has got a lot of fans for only one year of ‘her’ existence. Dance electro-pop boosts spirits of the fans of electronic music all over the world. The robot-girl took part in many club parties, played solo and also welcomed Spanish people at the RNE Radio with her synthesized voice.

OLF is actually made up of the expressive singer Olga Rojdestvenskaya and the acid-jazz band Moscow Grooves Institute. The track "Les Chrysanthemes" was produced a couple of years ago for a French anthology and had a great resonance in Europe, now the time came to be released in Russia. "Les Chrysanthemes" is a mini-album rather than a maxi-single because it only contains four original songs, three remixes and a video filmed for "Les Chrysanthemes." The songs are original electronic versions of Russian romantic tunes produced along the lines of head song.
